Sister A. Marino

As missionaries, we are taught truth and how to declare the divinity of Jesus Christ, and I know that if I stay true to the covenants that I have made with the Saviour, “Seek to experience His blessings everyday” I will be able to testify of the Holy Ghost of “his power, and presence” in not only my life but the lives of others. Sister Corden then says “We live in a fallen world, with distractions coaxing our eyes and hearts downward instead of heavenward.” We need Christ just like the Nephites needed Christ in 3rd Nephi 11. I would like you to ponder again on this question, What would it be like to be face to face with the Saviour and be able to hear his Personal invitation: “Arise and come forth unto me, that ye may thrust your hands into my side, and also that ye may feel the prints of the nails in my hands and my feet, that ye may know that I am … the God of the whole earth, and have been slain for the sins of the world. And … the multitude went forth … one by one … and did see with their eyes and did feel with their hands, and did know … and had witnessed for themselves.” These Nephites were eager and went forth and felt the marks on His sides, hands and feet so they could have a witness for themselves that this was the Christ that was foretold to come. We need to be just as eager and anxious to “Arise and come forth unto Him” so that we may be able to witness for ourselves that Jesus Christ Lives. While we may not be able to share the proximity that the Nephites were able to share with the Saviour like those that walked with him during His ministry on the Earth, through the Holy Ghost we can experience His power daily if we seek it.
