J. Wood

Accepting the gospel as truth, accepting baptism and making a solemn promise and covenant, these have been some of the hardest things I've ever done, certainly the biggest choice I've ever made, because it is a big thing accepting Jesus into your life I can't pretend it's not. It'll become part of you and in everything you do, and that's a scary prospect. You might think that by gaining one thing, you lose another, that you might lose part of yourself. To that I'd say: we have a name for it, growth! I want you to imagine the hardest thing you've ever done, and then think of something 1000x more difficult, i'm imagining a big mountain infront of me. Then imagine being pushed upwards and finding that it's actually not all that difficult after all, because you're being given the help you need when you need it. That mountain turns into a pleasant stroll, and before you know it you can turn back and see how far you've come, without even realizing it sometimes.

Christ has shown me Heavenly Father, who has an infinite love for all of his children, you and me. Because Christ loved us so much he gave up his life and for that, we have the infinite patience of our Heavenly Father. If it wasn't infinite I'd be in trouble because I've used a whole lot of it. But He does love you, and He wants you to come to be with Him in that love. I don't just believe this, but I know it because I've seen it, and I've felt it, and I know these things to be true in the name of my savior Jesus Christ amen.
