The reason I decided to serve a mission is because of how awesome the atonement of Jesus Christ is. I know He loves each of us enough to literally die for us, and take upon Him our sins and sicknesses. I have felt how He can lift us out of the sorrows of the world and replace those feelings with pure joy.
His gospel motivates us to be nicer people, progress, and allows us to feel true peace. I know that the light that Christ provides is the source of all joy, and that “men are that they might have joy”. It then follows that His gospel “be preached unto every nation, kindred, and tongue” because God’s children are in need of all that Christ has to offer.
